BUA/Stormwater
Built-Upon Allowance (BUA) is a calculation of the surface area of a property that is covered by construction. The restrictive covenants of each park list specific BUA instructions. Review these carefully before beginning a project and submitting your architectural change request to the BOD. The need for this is to follow regulations relating to stormwater and built-upon surface areas to make sure the neighborhood is not overbuilt and subject to flooding. Your type 1 site plan from your property survey is a great place to start gathering BUA information. When we all work together to follow the regulations we help keep our neighbors and community in compliance!
